* This piece is my entry to DRAWN TO A MOMENT contest by =Diamond4girl [link] *
phewwww. It took me FOREVER. (or almost 2 months, but it's close enough)
The scene is from "Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End", one of my all time favourites. I decided to draw Will And Elizabeth, before Will sails away... I just love this couple
(I know, I know, a PotC fanart is not the same thing without Jack Sparrow, but I kinda decided that he has already been drawn enough times. )
I'm very very happy with the way it turned out. Drawing from the movie still wasn't that easy (I'm used to huge references... ).
Maybe the likeness is not 100% right (damn!! Keira has such tricky face!), but I think I did well on contrast (I've always had problem with that), and I also tried doing some skin textures (again, not perfect but nothing is ).
Oh, and guess what was the worst part? SCANNING IT. It's A3 size and my scanner is only A4, so I scanned it in 3 parts and it took me ages to get everything right. So glad I'm done with that ;D
I honestly have no idea how much time I spent on it (1.5 months on and off, but can't say how many hours...)
A3 paper
graphite pencils from B to 8B
critiques are very welcome (but other comments would be awesome as well )

Wow, I loved this movie, and you sketched out this scene really well, totally recognizable. I like how you split it into three panels. The first panel, her expression seems a little odd.. but still done pretty well. It's mainly the proportions. The shading and everything else is great. The second and third panels are better. You draw Orlando Bloom well <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)"/> For the second panel, her hair seems a little 'flat'. Instead of just shading strands of hair, try shading in 'clumps'. But the rest is all really nice. Good job! 2 months is a long time to work on one thing!
